Youth Movement For Peace And Non-violence, Freetown, Sierra Leone, West Africa

The Youth Movement for Peace and Non-Violence; a non-profit non-political youth-serving agency was officially launched on the 2nd of November 2001.

The idea of its formation was to affect a culture of non-violence, especially amongst youth who became victims and perpetrators of the decade old civil conflict in our country.

With relative peace in Sierra Leone after the signing of the Lome Peace Accord, the Youth Movement for Peace and Non-Violence is determined to effect a transformation from the culture of war to a culture of peace and non-violence.
